Genevieve Ramos is a Mexican-American painter and disability advocate. She is inspired by the beauty, positivity, and love of the world. Her art uses bright colors and focuses on themes of femininity, empowerment, and political awareness. She has earned her Associate Degree in Arts and recently graduated from Northeastern Illinois University with her Bachelor’s degree in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. She sees her art and activism as resistance to what people think a queer, disabled, Mexican-American artist should be.
