Damon D. Green
Damon D. Green is a dance artist and founder of TEXTUREDance Studio, an Urban Styles and Forms dance and wellness facility located in Chicago’s Buena Park neighborhood. Green is a well-versed and prominent contemporary performer in Chicago and has proven his loyalty in the community, holding his presence with the critically acclaimed dance company The SELDOMS, led by Carrie Hanson.
Green is also an avid vogue aesthetic practitioner, exploring, performing, and teaching this form in its fusion with other movement disciplines. Green has collaborated with local choreographers, dancers, visual artists, and arts organizations including, Red Clay Dance, Faheem Majeed, Paige Cunningham-Calderalla, Darrell Jones, J’Sun Howard, Philip Elson, Kristina Isabelle, Cecil Johnson Jr, Lional “Brother El” Freeman, Jane Beachy, Mauren Sledge (House of Avant-Garde), Bob Eison, Molly Shanahan, and Links Hall. Green continues to explore, contribute, and invest in his passion for movement education and dance knowledge through workshops and masterclasses in Chicago as well as abroad.
