Ramah Jihan Malebranche
Ramah Jihan Malebranche is a Haitian immigrant with interdisciplinary talents spanning music, visual arts, education, and the accompanying project management skillsets. His music is a lush yet austere brand of chamber pop; honest and sentimental while set in a mature voice. His iterative singer-songwriter project, Wooden Rings, has been described by the Chicago Tribune as an "eerie, methodical vision precise and haunting in its beauty and strength." Ramah is currently building the newest iteration of Wooden Rings, teaching and building a media center to record the voices of the most vulnerable and marginalized black and brown youth on the westside of Chicago.
