Kimberly Eileen Jones is a soprano alum of the Ryan Opera Center with Lyric Opera of Chicago and a recipient of a grant from The Shoshana Foundation supporting emerging American opera singers. Shortly after her training she participated in the Porgy and Bess international tour with Houston Grand Opera. Since then, she has been thrilled to grace the stages of La Scala, Opéra Bastille, The Bunkamura in Japan, and wonderful American opera houses in San Francisco, San Diego, Seattle, and Florida, among others.
She has been performing internationally for several years and enjoys working with local standout companies like Chicago Opera Theater and Haymarket Opera Company. She is the recipient of awards including The MacAllister Award, Licia Albanese Grant, Luminarts Fellowship, and the Sullivan Grant, as well as others. She is blessed to share her love for music by teaching at Chicago educational institutions like DePaul University, Columbia College Chicago, Merit School of Music, and Roosevelt University.
