KIKI King
Kierah “KIKI” King is a dancer whose passion for justice, activism, and community-building emerges through powerful choreographic work. She is based in Chicago as an independent movement artist, director, and organizer with a commitment to connecting and advancing the dance field and community. King graduated from Columbia College Chicago (2020), receiving a BFA in Dance with a Minor in Black World Studies.
King has presented her choreographic work at the Centre National De La Danse in Pantin, France (2019) and premiered her work HA(B*tch)ually on The Dance Center’s stage at Columbia College Chicago (2019) as well as in Michigan for the American College Dance Association. King has been an invited soloist for the Beyond The Bars Conference at Columbia University in New York (2020). Her latest projects include a Columbia College Chicago virtual residency for public programs and a Co-Mission residency at Links Hall, where she premiered her new work Viewership Intended for Rec(Creational) Use Only (2021). King is a featured artist with two digital works in the Raisin group exhibition at 6018North (2021).
