My love for music started when I was very young at seven years old. We had a small marimba at home and I was curious to know how it worked. I was amazed by the sound this instrument made. My parents noticed my interest and put me in a marimba group with other kids. I was instantly drawn to the way each piece of the melody came together. I am 32 now and continue to play with as much enthusiasm as I did 25 years ago. I have had the privilege of playing with other great musicians, traveling to other places like Guatemala, recording three CDs, and giving back to my community. The greatest gift music has given me is being able to do it with my son. Playing marimba alongside my eight year old son is the greatest honor of all.
