Amanda Ortiz (A.O) is a single mother, aspiring writer, musician, and shower vocalist by hobby. Her love for art and music began at a very young age as she grew up watching her frontman father own every stage he walked on. Her first shows were more modest and took place in the living room with an audience that mainly consisted of supportive, albeit somewhat annoyed, family members. As an introverted empath, her creative style is typically demure. A.O started learning to play marimba when she was seven years old with the cultural group Marimba Oxib K'ajau. Since then, she has emerged as a brilliant artist with roots deeply seated in Guatemalan culture and given a modern twist. She also has a cat.
