Alexandra Olsavsky, a "beautifully voiced" soprano (Herald-Times, Bloomington Early Music), is a collaborative musical artist who actively performs with a diverse array of artistic ensembles, including those specialized in Renaissance and Baroque era music, world music, chamber works, music of living composers, interdisciplinary art-making, social justice, and outreach. Notable credits include an international debut with Italy’s acclaimed early music fusion ensemble, La Chimera (Eduardo Egüez) performing the works of John Dowland; continued work with the Bach + Beethoven Experience, including the (re)premiere of Allan Ramsay’s Scottish folk opera, The Gentle Shepherd, and their newly commissioned Chicago Stories project; numerous U.S. outreach tours with Concerts for Hope composer, Eric Genuis; and continuing performances with Chicago’s female-forward, cross-genre vocal trio, Artemisia, of which Alexandra is a founding member. Alexandra has also performed with the Alchemy Viols, Bacheler Consort Lute Ensemble, Baroque Band, Chicago Acapella, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Chicago Opera Playhouse, Chicago Sinfonietta, CUBE Ensemble, Haymarket Opera Company, Lakeside Singers, Lira Ensemble, Oregon Bach Festival Chorus, Oriana Singers, Savoyaires, and as a member of the backing ensemble for the Chicago performances of the Rolling Stones’ "50 and Counting" tour.
